Hi there! I’m Lyndsay. The creator of Bellatrix Fitness & Nutrition. I have been a trainer and nutrition certified for 18 years and have helped hundreds of women lose weight by TEACHING them (not just telling them) how to change their bodies through proper diet balanced with the right kind of workouts. This is my life passion.
I am a trainer, but first I am a wife and a mommy to 3 beautiful boys! In my life I’ve been a trainer, group fitness instructor, gym owner, runner, and overall fitness junkie. I woke up early to workout and I stayed up late to workout. When I had my first child I did tons of cardio, weight training, and yoga. I followed the “eat less, move more” mantra and while it worked for a while, inevitably I hit a plateau. And that plateau lasted for years. You know why? Because “eat less, move more” only works for so long. You can only eat so little, and only workout so much before your body goes into starvation mode, your metabolism shuts down, and everything you’re doing becomes counterproductive. I was sabotaging my own fat loss efforts. I was in good shape, but I was never where I wanted to be. I wasn’t as lean as I wanted to be, and I definitely didn’t have the muscle definition I thought I should have for as much time as I spent in the gym. I would kill myself 1-2 hours a day in the gym, 5-6 days a week. I would track everything I put into my mouth and not go near a single starch because that’s what I thought I needed to do to “lean out”. I would inevitably “mess up” and eat something I felt guilty about because I was being so restrictive my cravings were out of control. And the worst part of all of this was I was taking SO much time away from my family. I was obsessing over everything I ate, avoiding going to social events with family and friends because I didn’t want to be tempted with “bad foods”, and taking time away from my family just to go the gym for 1-2 hours…every single day.
After having children I realized I had to find a way to make fitness a PART of my life, not make fitness MY LIFE. I was determined to find a way to BALANCE it all. So I decided to make some changes. I decreased my time working out, focused on the RIGHT workouts, added calories back into my diet, and began working to balance my metabolic fat fighting hormones. I saw changes almost immediately and the fat literally started melting off…while breastfeeding! By working out LESS and eating MORE! Who doesn’t love that?!
That’s when I decided to created Bellatrix Fitness & Nutrition.
Being a woman comes with so much stress- busy jobs, busy schedules, and internal factors like perfectionism, negativity, and anxiety. Being a mom requires that you work 24/7 for someone other than yourself, so finding time to exercise and stay healthy is a challenge. I’m here (as well as an INCREDIBLE online community of other ladies just like you!) to help you with that challenge and to keep you motivated! This program is so effective and simple it works FOR LIFE.
